                               RESOLUTION NO. 20144
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE ADOPTION OF 
                   THE SOUTHSIDE AREA PLAN.
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    WHEREAS, the Southside Area Plan was developed to serve as a 
       general policy in guiding the orderly and balanced development of 
       the sections of Hamilton County and Chattanooga known as the 
       Southside Area;
       
       	    AND WHEREAS, said plan provides a framework for land use, 
       transportation, environmental protection and remediation, 
       neighborhood revitalization, community facilities;
       
       	    AND WHEREAS, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional 
       Planning Commission has reviewed said plan and recommended 
       adoption thereof;
                                NOW, THEREFORE,
       	    BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Southside Area Plan attached 
       hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is 
       hereby approved.
       	    
       ADOPTED:	 March 1, 1994
